Liposomal NAD+ is NAD+ wrapped in a protective layer of lipids (the same kind of fatty molecules your cells are built from), forming tiny spheres called liposomes.

NAD+ is a relatively large, water-soluble molecule, which makes delivering it effectively in a standard oral supplement challenging. The liposome is designed to protect the NAD+ on its journey through the digestive system and provide a more effective way to deliver it.

NAD+ has attracted particular interest because the amount found in our tissues can decline as we get older. Rather than supplying a precursor that your body then has to convert into NAD+, our formula provides NAD+ itself, delivered using our liposomal technology.

NAD exists in the body in two closely related forms, and they're easy to confuse.

• NAD+ is the oxidised form and acts as an important coenzyme in numerous reactions taking place inside your cells.
• NADH is the reduced form, created when NAD+ accepts electrons during cellular reactions.
• Your body naturally cycles between the two, converting NAD+ into NADH and back again as part of the processes involved in cellular energy metabolism.
