What is Liposomal Vitamin C?
Liposomal vitamin C is vitamin C wrapped in a protective layer of lipids (the same kind of fatty molecules your cells are built from), forming tiny spheres called liposomes.
Ordinary vitamin C has to survive the acidic environment of digestion before your body can absorb it, and at higher doses much of it is simply passed through. The liposome shields the vitamin C on that journey, so more of it is taken up and stays in your system for longer.
And this isn't just theory. In a double-blind, randomised human trial on our own liposomal vitamin C, blood levels reached almost four times higher than standard, non-liposomal vitamin C at the same 1,000mg dose, with no reported side effects.

To manage how much to give to children, we recommend mixing with a small amount of water, adding it to yoghurt or giving it to them off a teaspoon. We recommend ages 4 - 8 have up to one teaspoon daily and children 8 - 13 have half a sachet.
