Studies and clinical trials
For the last 7 years, we’ve been researching how nutrients are absorbed into the body so we can design products that have a much bigger impact than regular supplements.

Liposomal Vitamin C liquid nutrient protection study
The aim of this study was to assess the level of protection Zooki Liposomes provide Vitamin C in our Vitamin C liquid sachets as it passes through the digestive system.
By simulating the acidic environments of both the stomach and intestines, we can measure the degradation of Zooki Liposomal Vitamin C VS. Vitamin C in its raw, non-encapsulated form over time.

Liposomal Glutathione capsules nutrient protection study
The aim of this study was to assess the level of protection Zooki Liposomes provide the glutathione in our Glutathione Capsules as it passes through the digestive system.
By simulating the acidic environments of both the stomach and intestines, we can measure the degradation of Zooki Liposomal Glutathione VS. Glutathione in its raw, non-encapsulated form over time.

Liposomal Vitamin C nutrient absorption trial
A double blind, randomised, oral bioavailability comparison study of Zooki liposomal vitamin C liquid and non-liposomal vitamin C liquid in healthy adults under fasting conditions.
The clinical trial found 3.91 x more Vitamin C in the bloodstream over a 48h period when using Zooki Vitamin C Liposomal liquid compared to conventional Vitamin C liquid.

Liposomal Glutathione nutrient absorption trial
A double blind, randomised, oral bioavailability comparison study of Zooki liposomal glutathione capsules and non-liposomal glutathione capsules in healthy adults under fasting conditions.
The clinical trial found 3.56 x more Glutathione in the bloodstream over a 48h period when using Zooki Glutathione capsules compared to conventional glutathione capsules.

Collagen clinical trial
The aim of this clinical trial was to investigate the impact of hydrolysed marine collagen ingestion on skin hydration, elasticity and roughness. This trial used the same collagen found in all Zooki Collagen products.
This study found statistically significant improvements in skin elasticity, hydration and smoothness for those who took collagen compared to the placebo in as little as 4 weeks. What's more - those who didn't take collagen saw their skin deteriorate over the same period.

Liposomal iron VS. regular iron clinical trial
The aim of this study was to assess the impact of Zooki Liposomal Iron liquid sachets VS. regular iron supplements on the haemoglobin levels of patients with iron-deficiency anaemia.
The clinical trial found a 50% bigger increase in haemoglobin count when using Zooki liposomal iron vs. regular iron supplements.

Liposomal turmeric clinical trial
Conducted by St Mary's university, the aim of this study was to assess the impact of Zooki Liposomal turmeric on exercise-induced muscle damage.
The clinical trial found statistically significant reductions in both muscle soreness and inflammatory markers.

Liposomal characterisation studies
To demonstrate the liposomal characteristics and stability of Zooki liposomes, our lipid delivery systems are independently tested using a wide range of methods including Zeta Potential, DLS, Cryo-TEM and FESEM.
To see a full index of the tests we have run to substantiate the liposomal nature of both our liquid and dry delivery systems, please email hello@zooki.com.
