Andy Daly calls herself the Sugar Doctor® because she believes through her research and clinical experience that most health issues arise in the gut where refined sugars cause havoc.

My qualifications

Andy qualified in and practised law in the early part of her career but changed career path after her youngest daughter was diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She now practises Nutritional Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine in her clinic in London, having studied 4 years with the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. She is a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and is registered with the Complimentary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). She has also gained accreditation with the Institute for Functional Medicine and was awarded a certification from a professional plant-based cookery course. 

More recently Andy and her eldest daughter Charlotte joined forces to open a small health restaurant in Paris called Charli's Crew. Andy oversees the menu, while still based in London, which caters for keto, vegan, paleo, gluten-free, refined sugar-free diets and ensures that all produce is organic, locally sourced and unprocessed.

My approach

Andy's areas of expertise include weight loss, IBS, metabolic syndrome, gut physiology and psychology syndromes, auto-immunity and hormone health. She practises Nutritional Therapy along the Functional Medicine model, which focuses on preventing ill-health and promoting optimal health through nutrition, stress management and exercise, using a wide variety of tools, including the latest laboratory testing. She spends time with her clients asking detailed questions about their family history, lifestyle, environment and other factors before working with them to suggest an appropriate tailor-made protocol. Because Nutritional Therapy is a complementary medicine she often works with their medical professionals.  

My favourite Zooki

Andy's favourite Zooki product is Vitamin C Zooki. She found this particularly useful during the pandemic when it was one of her go-to recommendations to clients. Because she recommended high doses, it became her clients' favourite vitamin C product, each sachet containing 1000mg and being easy to grab as you go. It also tastes fruity and zesty, has no artificial additives, is easily absorbed and is gluten-free and vegan.
